Spring 09 - Division Champions


After a shaky start to the season, Reunited came on strong late and carried their success into the playoffs defeating Builders & Roofers 15-11, 15-8 to win the DIV 3 Championship.


Despite being without team captain Pete Vallone, The Killer V's were able to hold off a scrappy Gold Diggers squad 15-9,15-9 to win their second DIV 4 Championship in two years.


Despite losing the first set of the finals 2-15, Irish Setter was able to rally against division rival Kill Ball Vol. 1 and win the DIV 5 Championship 2-15, 15-6, 15-10.


Congratulations to Kiss My Pass who knocked off a cagey Bump Roast 15-7, 15-9 for the DIV 6 title.

 

Winter 09 - Division Champions


After losing in the finals of the Fall DIV 3 Championship, Last Call regrouped to captured the Golden Volleyball this Winter, defeating My Bloody Centerline 3C 15-9, 15-9 capturing the DIV 3 Crown.


Despite being without team captain Pete Vallone, The Killer V's were able to hold off a scrappy Gold Diggers squad 15-9,15-9 to win their second DIV 4 Championship in two years.


After losing the first set of the DIV 5 Championships 7-15, Bump & Lines rallied to take the next two 17-16, 15-7 propelling them to victory and the much desired Big City Golden Volleyball. Good Luck in DIV 4 this season!


Before going on spring hiatus, Kleinberg Kaplan won their first ever Big City Championship by defeating fan favorites Lazer Sharp 15-6, 16-14 to win the DIV 6 Title.



Fall 08 - Division Champions


Congrats go to Weiser for capturing their first ever Big City Championship by downing Last Call 11-15, 15-2, 15-6 to win the Fall 2008 DIV 3 Title.


Proving they too had the "Killer" instinct, The Bulldogs came from behind to Defeat The Killer V's 9-15, 15-3, 17-15 to win the DIV 4 Crown.


Make it Two in a Row for AXA 2 as they defeated interdivisional rival Highbridge 15-2, 15-4 for their second consecutive DIV 5 Championship.

Summer 08 - Division Champions


Once again Orange Crush has "Crushed" the summer competition defeating There Will Be Bumps 15-13, 15-9 to win the DIV 3 Championship.


In the biggest upset of the summer league, Trendsetters defeated Block & Roll 15-13, 15-5 taking the golden volleyball in DIV 4.


There was only glory for AXA 2 this summer as they came from behind to defeat Death or Glory 14-16, 15-5, 15-7 to take the DIV 5 Title.


Congrats to CITI PE for winning their first ever Big City Championship, defeating We Hired Willie 8-15,15-8, 15-4 to win the DIV 6 summer Title.

Spring 08 - Division Champions


Just like the Giants in the Super Bowl and Nadal at Wimbledon, The Pigeons stunned the world... or at least everyone at Environmental Studies, defeating the first place Fat Chicks in the DIV 2 Finals 15-13, 11-15, 15-12.


In a stunning upset, CIQ "bumped" off 21 Bump Street 15-13, 15-8 to win the Division 3 Finals.


In a classic come from behind victory, Can U Dig It defeated A Spike For Sore Thighs 14-16, 15-4, 15-13 to capture the Division 4 Title. Pictured here with Can U Dig It is Kristen Dunn from the AVP Tour, who also provided all League Champs with complimentary tickets to the AVP Brooklyn Open.


Float like a butterfly and sting like The Bees...which is just what they did to a much improved GOIP team winning the Division 5 Championship 16-14, 15-10.


Notch one in the Plus Column for Positive Carry, as they topped Bynum-ial Nomenclature 15-6, 6-15, 15-7 to carry away the Division 6 golden volleyball.

Winter '07/08 - Division Champions


It was standing room only during Big City's Championship Night on March 31st, as the ten finalists of the Winter '08 season battled it out for their Division Titles.


Despite being the #4 seed in the playoffs, Shake N' Bake took the golden volleyball 15-13, 15-1, over Team Matrix, to win the Div. 2 title.


There was no lovin' for McLovin' as they lost to INC. (pictured here) 15-10, 8-15, 7-15 in the Div. 3 Finals.


The CG Closers closed out a terrific season with a big win over the Winter '08 Bynum Award recipients No Court For Old Men, 15-11, 14-16, 15-9, taking the Div. 4 crown.


Hopefully, the Knicks will be able to rebuild as quickly as IBV did this winter, capping off a great playoff run by defeating QBE Spikehouse 15-9, 15-9 to win the Div. 5 Championship.


It was High-Five's all around for HighBridge, as they swatted the Bee's 15-10, 15-10 to win the DIV 6 finals.

Fall '07 - Division Champions


After just barely squeaking into the playoffs, the Hedge Hogs capped of a great postseason run by defeating Out Of Office 15-9, 15-1 to take the Div. 6 title.


With 4 different divisions in level 5, both finalists came from 5C, with Bump U bumpin' off Bubba Bump Shrimp, 15-9, 15-1, to capture the Div. 5 championship.


V was for Victory,
as the Killer V's knocked off
Just The Tip in a battle of regular season division winners,
9-15, 15-7, 15-12, to grab the Div. 4 crown.


Orange Krush lived up to their name, defeating T.E.A.M. for the Div. 3 championship, 15-9, 15-8.
